The Gateway Bronco —
Winter-Ready SUV Restomod

Art and Design

First introduced in 1966, the Ford Bronco quickly became an American icon built for rugged conditions and open-air exploration. Today—especially when adapted seamlessly to your individual needs—a Bronco remains a fitting companion for cold-weather adventures.

Seth Burgett, CEO Gateway Bronco, recommends:
“Our LUXE-GT™ Bronco captures everything that defines Gateway Bronco. Timeless design elevated through modern engineering and uncompromising craftsmanship. Its proprietary chassis with independent suspension and advanced stability systems delivers precision handling and peace of mind. Add in customizable touches like heated and cooled seating, zoned climate control, all-weather flooring, CarPlay connectivity, and our exclusive Freedom Top, and you have the ultimate driving partner for any season.”

(Restomod)The first-generation Ford Bronco has long symbolized American exploration. The original 1966-1977 version was celebrated for its versatility as a Sport Utility Vehicle that could be adapted for various outdoor adventures and inner-city tasks. Buyers of that era could select from Roadster, Wagon, or Sports Utility pickup configurations, with Ford later introducing a Sport model and a Ranger package that added comfort and convenience features. Today, Gateway Bronco in Hamel, Illinois is one of the few companies reimagining the classic SUV with respect for its heritage—with a clear focus on modern usability.

Rather than operating like a traditional restoration shop, Gateway Bronco runs a fully integrated 5,500-square-meter facility where fabrication, powder coating, paint, and assembly take place under one roof. The team blends coach-built craftsmanship with modern Lean manufacturing practice, rare in the world of vintage vehicles.

The result is a Bronco that retains its original look and charm, yet feels composed and dependable on today’s roads. These builds are intentionally made to be driven, not stored. For those who want the capability and character of a vintage Bronco without the compromises of a 50-year-old truck, Gateway Bronco delivers an ideal blend of heritage and modern engineering. With 15+ patents granted or pending, the company has pioneered proprietary chassis innovation, plus suspension, safety, and comfort technologies that set its builds apart.
